EToddler Kelly (in Europe Shelly) was born into the Roberts Family in the mid nineties. Mattel patented 3 different faces for her in 1994.

– one with smiling closed mouth
– one with smiling open mouth (sometimes with painted teeth)
– one with open (bottle) mouth, formed to drink from a baby bottle


All three faces have the same headmark. Kelly has uncounted little friends who share the facemold with Kelly. In the begining Kelly was concepted for the playline in the children’s room. But because even adults liked her, Mattel started special editions for adult collectors.

DKelly (in Europa Shelly) wurde Mitte der 1990er Jahre in die Barbiefamilie hineingeboren. Sie ist ein etwa 2-3 jähriges Kleinkind, für das 1994 drei verschiedene Gesichter entwickelt wurden. Alle drei Facemolds haben die gleiche Markierung

– mit spitz geöffnetem Mund, um aus einer Babyflasche zu trinken
– mit lächelndem offenen Mund (manchmal mit gemalten Zähnen, manchmal ohne)
– mit lächelndem geschlossenen Mund.
