EThe Birthday Party Barbie with modified Steffi Face came 1999 in the stores (boxdate 1998) and surprised with a special feature. Her mouth ist opened like the kissing Barbie face from 1978. But she doesn’t kiss her party guests, she is able to blow up mylar balloons and a party favor. Both items have little mouthpieces to be pushed in Barbies mouth. By squeezing a litte pump which is docked into the back, air flows through a pipe into her mouths. The ballon starts blowing up / the favor rolls out. Further items in the package is a birthday hat and a cake with candle – which can be blown out by the girl.

DDie Birthday Party Barbie mit modifiziertem Steffi Face kam 1999 auf den Markt und überraschte mit einer besonderen Funktion. Sie hat einen geöffneten Mund, der an die Kissing Barbie von 1978 erinnert. Doch sie küsst nicht die Partygäste, sie kann Luftballons aufblasen und eine Partytröte ausrollen.

Dazu wird im Rücken der Barbie eine Pumpe angedockt und ein Ballon oder die Tröte mit dem Mundstück in den Mund gesteckt. Wenn die Pumpe im Rücken gepresst wird, bläst sich der Ballon langsam auf. Das weitere Zubehör in dem Set sind ein Geburtstagshütchen und ein Kuchen mit versenkbarer Kerze. Dazu wird jedoch ein stärkerer Luftzug benötigt, sodass sie vom Kind ausgepustet werden muss.
