EIn 2020 Mattel presented the finally „ready styled“ Flight of Fashion Barbie. She was „created“ by collectors in the 2019 Doll Design Showdown on the Barbie Signature website. Thousands of Barbie fans voted first on four design sketches and later on two design prototypes. Another peculiarity was that the Flight of Fashion Barbie was a „made-to-order doll“. Mattel took preorders of Platinum and Gold Status members for four weeks and so many pre-orders were done, so many dolls were made. She ist declared as a platinum label Barbie, which means, not many of her were made.

The Flight of Fashion Barbie was designed bei Angel Kent. She got a new facemold which looks similar to the Steffie face from 1971. Mattel called the facemold Odile and for two years the Flight of Fashion Barbie was the only one with that face. Surprisingly it appeared again in 2022 within the new holiday Barbies Collection. The red haired Barbie with sideglance (stocknumber #HGW73) is an walmart exclusive.

DIm Jahr 2020 erschien die Flight of Fashion Barbie mit einem speziell für sie entwickelten neuen Facemold. Das Gesicht – Mattel hat es „Odile“ getauft – hat feenhafte Züge und Ähnlichkeit mit dem Steffie Face von 1971. Die Flight of Fashion Barbie ist bislang die Einzige mit diesem Face.

Die Platinum Label Barbie ist das Ergebnis eines Votings, zu dem Mattel 2019 aufgerufen hatte. Dabei konnten Barbiesammler im ersten Schritt aus vier Designskizzen ihren Favoriten auswählen. Im Anschluss wurden die beiden Favoriten als Design Prototypen vorgestellt und Odile gewann das Design Showdown. 2022 war die rothaarige Holiday Barbie #HGW73 (Walmart exclusive) die zweite Barbie, für dieses Face verwendet wurde.
