Der Barbie™ Film von 2023 hat nicht nur Barbie und Ken sehr viel Aufmerksamkeit gebracht, sondern auch Kens Freund Allan eine neue Fangemeinde beschert. Nach Start des Kinofilms stiegen die Preise für einen vintage Allan gewaltig an. Mattel reagierte mit (bislang) drei Dolls auf das große Interesse an dem rothaarigen Freund.
→ 2024, zu Allans 60sten Geburtstag, brachte Mattel eine Reproduktion des ursprünglichen Allans heraus.
→ 2025 stellte Mattel den Movie Allan als look alike Doll vor.
→ Außerdem gab es 2025 eine Playline Neuinterpretation des Vintage Allan mit neuem Facemold
Leider, leider, leider wurde der neue Allan als Target Exclusive herausgebracht und hat es somit nicht in den europäischen Spielzeughandel oder zu amazon geschafft. Er bekam ein neues Facemold mit kantigem Kinn, breitem Mund und einer neuen Frisur. Er sieht aus wie ein moderner Allan, der aber seinen alten Charme behalten hat und nicht wie Ken jeden Trend in den letzten 60 Jahren ausprobieren musste.

The 2023 Barbie™ Movie brought a lot of attention to Barbie and Ken, but also garnered Ken’s friend Allan a new fan base. After the film’s release, prices for a vintage Allan rose dramatically. Mattel responded to the intense interest in the red-haired friend with (so far) three dolls.
→ In 2024, for Allan’s 60th birthday, Mattel released a reproduction of the original Allan.
→ In 2025, Mattel introduced the Movie Allan as a look-alike doll.
→ 2025 also brought us a Playline reinterpretation of the vintage Allan with a new face mold.
Unfortunately, the new Allan was released as a Target exclusive, so he wasn’t sold at European toy stores or Amazon. He received a new face mold with a square chin, wide mouth, and a new hairstyle. He looks like a modern Allan, but he has retained his old charm and hasn’t tried out every trend of the last 60 years like Ken.
