EWith a brand new face Steffie entered the world of Barbie. The friendship with Barbie lasted only a short time. Just three dolls with the name Steffie were produced: Walk Lively Steffie, Busy Steffie und Talking Busy Steffie. Already in the same year the facemold went over to PJ (who formerly had the Midge Face). Even Barbie and her friends like Cristie, Midge, Teresa or Summer use the cute Steffie face occasionally.

Over the years many more new friends with the Steffie face passed by. Most of them were only produced for a short time: Kelley, Tracy, Whitney/Laura, Tara Lynn, Reina, Cara…

And last but not least is the Steffie face a popular Collector face.

DSteffie wurde 1972 als Barbies neue Freundin vorgestellt. Die Kopfmarkierung lautet 1971 Mattel Inc. Steffie hatte als Freundin jedoch nur einen sehr kurzen Auftritt (Walk Lively Steffie, Busy Steffie und talking busy Steffie). Noch im gleichen Jahr wurde das Facemold für Barbies Freundin PJ verwendet , die bis dahin das Midge Face hatte. Mit der Standard Barbie (Europe/Canada) übernahm auch Barbie selber dieses hübsches Facemold.

Über die Jahrzehnte folgten zahlreiche weitere Freundinnen mit Steffie-Face, darunter viele Charaktere, die nur über einen kurzen Zeitraum produziert wurden: Kelley, Tracy, Whitney/Laura,Tara Lynn, Reina, Cara… Auch die etablierten Freundinnen wurden und werden gelegentlich mit Steffie-Face produziert, wie z.B. Christie, Midge, Teresa, Summer…

Außerdem ist Steffie ein beliebtes Collector-Face.
