EJamal appeared 1991 the first time. He was presented as a friend of Shani – a line of three AA girlfriends, without connection to Barbie. Jamals facemold is also used  for Black Ken and later for Steven.

The Happy Family Grandpa and Merlin use the same facemold, but probably with a modification. Their headmark is: TM/© 1996/1999 MATTEL, INC.

DJamal trat Anfang der 90er Jahre als Freund von Shani – eine dunkelhäutige Nebenlinie zu Barbie – in Erscheinung. Das Facemold wurde auch für den AA Ken und Christies Freund Steven verwendet.
