E2010 Mattel modified the Carnaval facemold from 2003 into a playline version. The new face was introduced with Xylie, a character in the Movie „Barbie in a Mermaid Tale 2“ in the year 2012. So some call the face mold Xylie. But Carnaval Playline is certainly the official name by Mattel.

D2010 wurde eine modifizierte Version des Carnaval Face für die Playline patentiert. Es wurde erstmals 2012 im Rahmen des Films „Barbie und das Geheimnis von Oceana 2 (Barbie In A Mermaid Tale 2)“ für Co Star Xylie verwendet. Die Puppe wurde allerdings ohne speziellen Namen auf der Verpackung herausgebracht. Seit dem wurde das Mold für verschiedene Playline dolls verwendet, sodass es auch Carnaval Playline genannt wird.
