E2014 Mattel started the Faraway Forest Collection with the Elf Barbie. Based on the Lord of the Rings saga, the story of the Collection revolves around a mystical land with different areas where magical beings have their home: Elf Village, White Woods, Dark Forest, Magical Lagoon, Crystal Cave, Mystical Meadows and Fairy Kingdom. For each of this mysterious places Mattel designed  Collector dolls with very elaborate, detailed clothes and jewelry. At the Fairy Kingdom we got a set with a wedding couple. So far, no Collector Barbie has been produced for the area of Mystical Meadows. Perhaps she will be relaesed in 2020 to continue this line.

DIm Jahr 2014 startete die Sammler Reihe Faraway Forest Collection mit der Elf Barbie. Angelehnt an die Herr der Ringe Saga, dreht sich die Geschichte der Collection um ein mystisches Land mit verschiedenen Gegenden, in denen magische Wesen zu Hause sind: Elf Village (Das Elfen Dorf), White Woods (Die weißen Wälder), Dark Forest (Der dunkle Wald), Magical Lagoon (Die magische Lagune), Crystal Cave (Die Kristall Höhle), Mystical Meadows (Die Mystischen Wiesen) und Fairy Kingdom (Das Feenreich). Zu jedem dieser geheimnisvollen Orte hat Mattel eine Collector Puppe mit sehr aufwendigen, detailreichen Gewändern und Schmuck herausgebracht. Zum Fairy Kingdom gab es sogar zwei Dolls, ein Set mit einem Hochzeitspaar. Für die Mystical Meadows wurde bislang noch keine Collector Barbie produziert. Vielleicht kann man im Jahr 2020 noch darauf hoffen, dass diese Reihe fortgesetzt wird…
