One Direction (1D) ist eine britisch-irische Boygroup, die sich im Rahmen der 7. Ausgabe der Casting-Show „The X-Factor“ formierte. Die fünf Mitglieder sind: Niall James Horan, Zayn Jawaad Malik, Liam James Payne, Harry Edward Styles und Louis William Tomlinson. 2011 erschien die erste Single „What Makes You Beautiful“, die in Großbritannien und Irland Platz 1 in den Charts erreichte.
Populäre Bands als Puppen in Barbiegröße sind Großbritannien offensichtlich sehr angesagt. So gibt es die fünf Sänger von 1D dank anhaltendem Erfolg sogar in mehreren Editionen. Neben den „einfachen“ Dolls gibt es auch eine singing Edition und einen großen, knallroten Tourbus.
