EThe first appearance of Teresa was 1988 as „California Dream Teresa“ together with Barbie, Ken, Christie und Midge. In the begining Teresa had the Spanish/Hispanic facemold, but short after Mattel patented a own face for Teresa and established her as Barbies everlasting girlfriend. Under the Fashion Fever era Teresa got a new facemold and since 2008 her original face was mainly / only used for Collector dolls.

DIn den Playline Serien ist Teresa Barbies italienische oder lateinamerikanische Freundin. Der Kopf wird aber auch seit einigen Jahren für Collectibles verwendet. Laut Wikipedia tauchte Teresa 1988 das erste Mal zusammen mit Barbie, Ken, Christie und Midge 1988 in der Serie „California Dream“ auf. Die ersten Teresas wurden allerdings noch mit dem Spanish/Hispanic Headmold produziert.

      thanks for the pictures. 🙂 I got the download and checked them. Sadly the portrait picture ist very unsharp and washed. Could you try to take a better one? I think it was too less light in the room and the doll got much shadow on the face 🙁

Hi there , the 2017and forward playline, Teresa has a modified version of the sculpt where her teeth and mouth corners are much less defined. but the collector ones have the og 90s head: Quincenera, Holiday 2024, and Rebelde dolls have the og but besides those, 2017 and future use a modified version.
    there are also 3 styling head variants of teresa : the 90’s used the same which was a resculpt of the og teresa in a bigger scale , so although not exact as the doll its very simmilar styling heads that used this head sculpt are „Jewel hair mermaid teresa styling head and hulla hair teresa“, then some in the very early 2000s a new head sculpt was produced , it was the same as the 90’s teresa styling head but slightly smaller and her features were changed a little for example they made her jaw smaller and made the forehead protruding more. like „Barbie* Style N‘ Color Styling Head Teresa and Christie 2000“, Styling Head Hip Highlights teresa and christie. and then in 2004 a new styling head Teresa was made and this time a replica of the 90’s sculpt exactly but re,sized to be bigger and was onlyTeresaonce for the „coollookz shimmer n glitz“ styling head teresa .     1. Hi, thanks for the information. All the newer Teresa heads also have the 1990 copyright.
      We would love to see photos of styling heads in our gallery. Informations about the year stamp on the back of the neck will helpful also.
