Lucille Ball is unforgettable in her role as Lucy Ricardo in ‚I Love Lucy.‘ Almost 200 episodes were produced for the US sitcom and Lucille Ball (†1989) is still one of America’s most popular television comedians. The main characters of the series are housewife Lucy Ricardo and her Cuban husband Ricky Ricardo (played by Ball’s husband Desi Arnaz). Her best friends are Ethel and Fred Mertz. Lucy is a busy housewife who would like to start her own career. So Lucy tries umpteen different professional talents and comes up with all sorts of crazy ideas. At her side is her friend Ethel Mertz (Vivian Vance), who is unintentionally drawn into Lucy’s adventures.

Lucy hat eine Idee! / Lucy got an idea!

Also sucht Lucy nach Alternativen.

In nearl every episode, Lucy begs Ricky to let her perform at the Tropicana, the nightclub where Ricky works as an entertainer. Sadly Ricky wants her to stay at home as a housewife and he doubts her talent. So Lucy looks for alternatives. Whenever she announces, „I got an idea,“ Ethel knows there will be consequences and replies, „No, you didn’t!“ But she did, and the new adventure can start. Unmistakable for Lucy are her bright red hair, dark red painted lips and a very exaggerated facial expression with big big big, astonished eyes…

Mattel loves Lucy!

„Ball became the first woman to run a major film studio in 1962…“
