Die Aaliyah Barbie trägt den stylishen Look aus dem „One in a Million“ Musikvideo. Das schwarze Lederoutfit mit vielen kleinen Silber-Nieten und Schnüroptik wurde fast 1:1 auf Barbiegröße übertragen. Ihre langen, herrlich glänzenden Haare wurden mit dem typischen Seitenscheitel gestyled.
In September 2025, Mattel released a Barbie doll featuring the American R&B singer and actress Aaliyah Dana Haughton. She tragically died at the age of just 22. After they completed filming the video for „Rock the Boat“ in the Bahamas she was killed in a plane crash along with eight other people on board.
Her doll was produced look-alike, featuring Aaliyah’s own face mold and an articulated body. Aliyah’s brother, Rashad Haughton, was also involved in the project, he collaborated with the British fashion illustrator and designer Hayden Williams as co-creator, who helped him with the creative decisions for the doll – see Hayden William via x.com.
The Aaliyah Barbie doll wears the stylish look from the „One in a Million“ music video. The black leather outfit with numerous small silver studs and a lace-up look was scaled down almost 1:1 to Barbie size. Her long, beautifully shiny hair was styled with the typical side parting.
