Accompanying to the 2023 Barbie movie „Barbie The Movie“ and in the following years after the movie, Mattel released several variations of the Movie Ken. He was produced with two different face molds and wears various outfits from the film. The first Movie Ken had an open, smiling mouth. Initially, the descriptions on Mattel Creations didn’t include a name for the head mold. So we assumed that the face was designed (not particularly well) in likeness to actor Ryan Gosling. But no! In 2025, Mattel introduced the collector doll Ken Styled by KidSuper with the same face mold and now the face is called „Ken.“ So we assume that it is intended as a regular Ken face mold and we can expect more Kens with this face. And the „likeness“ with Ryan Gosling was just a wishful thought.

DBegleitend zu dem 2023 Barbie Film „Barbie The Movie“ und auch noch in den darauffolgenden Jahren brachte Mattel verschiedene Variationen des Movie Kens heraus. Er wurde mit zwei verschiedenen Facemolds produziert und trägt verschiedene Outfits aus dem Film. Der erste Movie Ken hatte einen geöffneten lächelnden Mund. In den Beschreibungen auf Mattel Creations gab es zunächst keinen Namen für das Headmold. Wir waren deshalb davon ausgegangen, dass das Face (nicht besonders gut) in likeness mit Schauspieler Ryan Gosling gestaltet wurde. Aber nein! 2025 stellte Mattel den Ken Styled by KidSuper mit dem gleichen Facemold vor und nennt das Face jetzt „Ken“. Wir können also davon ausgehen, dass es als reguläres Ken Facemold eingeplant ist und wir weitere Kens mit diesem Mold erwarten können.Find the movie Ken on ebay…
