The little Mermaid – Movie Dolls (2023)

2023 gab es erstmals eine Disney Liveaction Verfilmung der „Kleinen Meerjungfrau“ mit der Sängerin Halle  Bailey in der Hauptrolle. Mattel produzierte dazu in Lizenz eine ganze Reihe von Dolls in Barbiegröße sowie in kleinerem Maßstab. Die Dolls wurden alle mit look alike Facemolds gestaltet.

In 2023 Disney presented the first time a live action film adaptation of the „Little Mermaid“. Mattel produced a number of Barbie-sized and smaller-scale dolls under license. The dolls were all designed with look-alike face molds.

Arielle
Arielle wird in der Live Action Verfilmung von der Sängerin Halle Bailey verkörpert. Für die Arielle Doll gestaltete Mattel ein Look alike Facemold mit leicht Comic-haften Zügen. Man erkennt eine gewissen Ähnlichkeit, sie ist allerdings nicht sehr ausgeprägt. Besser getroffen ist das Arielle Facemold, das von Disney selber für die „kleine Meerjungfrau“ entwickelt wurde und im Disney Store erhältlich ist.

Anscheinend ging man bei Mattel von einem cineastischen Megaerfolg der Verfilmung aus, denn es wurden so viele verschiedene Variationen des Hauptcharakters und auch der anderen Figuren produziert, wie noch nie zuvor zu einem Disney Film.
Soweit wir es (bislang) herausfinden konnten, gibt es Arielle in folgenden Varianten:

Arielle trägt in dieser „On Land“ Ausführung ein hellblaues Kleid und Sandalen mit Schlangenmuster. Sie hat einen neuen Körper aus Hartkunststoff (©2022 Mattel) bekommen, der sich durch einen kurzen Oberkörper, sehr lange Beine und flache Füße auszeichnet. In der Größe entspricht er den Hanna Montana und Highschool Musical Dolls.
