The dress in the sailor’s look, was designed by Barbra Streisand in her early years and is supposed to wear 1963 in Hollywood’s Coconut Grove.

D2009 brachte Mattel eine look alike Barbie der Schauspielerin und Sängerin Barbra Streisand heraus. Ihre markante Nase und die Form der Lippen sind bei ihrer Barbie Doll recht gut gelungen, man erkennt die Ähnlichkeit. Ihre Augen sind dagegen ziemlich missglückt – sowohl in der Farbzusammenstellung, als auch im Ausdruck.
Das Kleid im Matrosenlook, das die Barbra Streisand Barbie trägt, ist einem Kleid nachempfunden, dass sie in frühen Jahren selbst designt und 1963 in Hollywood’s Coconut Grove getragen soll.
Barbra Streisand achtet bei ihren Fotos immer sehr darauf, dass sie im richtigen Winkel fotografiert wird. Der muss auch bei ihrer Barbie-Ausgabe gefunden werden.
