EBasic Ken Model No. 16 presented a modified version of the Tango headmolds (2001). The facial characteristics are identical, but the neck approach is new. It makes the head moveable in all directions.

I always wonder about this mold. Officially the face is supposed to be identical to the mold used for Cali Guy Blaine, but I always thought New Tango Mold seems to have less well-defined facial features than Blaine. Perhaps the mold was enlargened at some point to match the larger heads of modern Barbies? (Unfortunately I don’t have my dolls here so I can’t check.)
Thank you for making and maintaining this site, by the way! It’s incredibly useful as a a reference guide for identifying dolls.
